2024-05-04 03:07:45 +0000 UTCSome things on Rushdie, there was an actual narrative in Islam that there were certain verses that Muhammad received, but later decided were from Satan rather than Allah. The title is a reference to this, and the book overall is one that is critical, but from the point of view of like an extremely liberal believer (which Rushdie was at the time). It's not actually about "Islam being satanic".
