It depends! It could take as long as three days, or you might get a reply within hours depending on when you sent it. I'm about to start sending my first round of responses, I may not get to everyone today, though.

Question from someone with anxiety: how long does it take to get a reply via email for the application? I just want to be sure that it went through & was seen.

generally, a sensitivity reader is someone who checks whether the portrayal of certain identities in the story 1) makes sense for their identity, and 2) doesn't play into harmful stereotypes and such. This may also extend into the story itself so they could also check whether the story arc of X character seems to follow a common, harmful story arc of their X race or identity, etc.

This is a really great way to bring authencity to the cultures you are representing! It's not only practical, but you can even learn so much from having sensitivity/authencity readers. Writing different cultures is a learning experience that should be treated with respect and dignity. 🩷 Can't wait to see the updates.
