If you haven’t seen it, there was this horror/supernatural/drama/dark comedy/queer leaning show from a couple years ago called THE MAGICIANS, that was absolutely incredible, and kinda right up your alley 😏 . Highly original with really good writing and performances, many incredible characters, fantastic world building, and unlike anything else before or since. It wasn’t perfect, but I loved far more about it than I didn’t love. And above all else, The Magicians was very, VERY cunty 👏🏼🤣I still miss that show to this day

It’s pretty great., and supremely twisted. Edit: yes I gave myself a heart. Because if you don’t love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody….well, you know the rest. 😉

And let's all try and be kind, supportive, and empathetic toward each other and realize that we are all basically in the same boat with the same kinds of struggles, and if we work together, we do have the power to change things if we want to. Anyway, here are some movie recommendations. You've probably seen a lot of them, if not all of them, but I'll throw them out there anyway, just in case. 1) The Mothman Prophecies (2002) / I love this movie and I think is pretty underrated. It's super creepy and what makes it more so is that it's heavily based on a true story. It also has a great score/soundtrack. It's very well-acted, well-written, and engaging. I would highly recommend. 2) Swallow (2019) / This is a strange, disturbing movie but it's also really good, meaningful, and unique so it's not strange and disturbing without substance. It's well-acted, well-written, it has a solid soundtrack, and it's actually really poignant and timely in a lot of ways. If you haven't seen it, I think it would be a good one for you to watch -- even just on your own, if you didn't wanna react to it. 3) Burnt Offerings (1976) / I feel like there's a good chance that you've seen this but if not, I definitely think you should check it out. It's odd and unsettling, but again, well-acted, well-written, unique, and creepy. It stars Karen Black, who was awesome. My dad is a huge horror fan and this is one of the movies that has given him nightmares, haha, so you know it's good and effective. 4) Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) / This is one of my favorite comedies and I feel like it's, again, underrated. I don't often encounter people who have seen it for some reason and I don't know why because I think it's a really good movie. It's funny, well-acted, well-directed, well-written, and meaningful. I know you don't really react to comedies very often but I thought you might like to if you haven't seen this and wanted a palette cleanser after all the scary stuff, haha. 5) Sister My Sister (1994) / It's based on a true story and it's pretty wild. I don't really wanna say much else, other than I think maybe you should watch it, haha. 6) The Seventh Sign (1988) / Okay...I hesitated, haha. You may very well have already seen this so it may not matter anyway, but if you haven't...you probably should. I will say that I have not watched this movie since I was a kid and it scared the shit out of me. Like I said, my dad is a huge horror fan and I would happily watch basically any scary movie with him when I was younger, and this was one of only a few movies throughout my childhood that really, really scared me. Maybe disturbed me...is a better way of describing it but it disturbed me so much that I never watched it again, haha. I do know that it's a good movie, my dad loves it and quotes it often, and I think it would be a good one for you to watch if you haven't already seen it. And that would help me kind of revisit it without actually turning it on myself, haha. That's it for me for now. Hopefully you've had a good start to the new year and stay well. <3

I'd recommend those as well : - The Fall of the House of Usher by Mike Flanagan - Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss (that's a completely different vibe.) They're cartoons and they're musicals. Their characters are in the same universe. Helluva Boss is free on youtube, Hazbin Hotel is on Amazon Prime. Both of them are queer AF, flashy and quite chaotic. Also anything by Mike Flanagan that you haven't already seen. I also think you would really like Good Omens (2 seasons so far with a 3rd and final confirmed). 6 episodes a season and the chemistry between David Tenant and Michael Sheen is incredible. It's funny, smart, touching, and original. Similarly, Our Flag Means Death is amazing. Sadly only 2 seasons long, but they are 2 perfect seasons.
