A fine February to you all!
I've been diligently working through projects and I've reached a milestone in the completion of principal animation for one of these aforementioned projects. This means that upon release I'll be able to focus more time each week on the two other projects and accelerate their development than where its been at as far as the pace of progress.
I've wanted to test out the workload by taking on 3 projects at once but I've found that its divided up my time in such a manner that generally all three have suffered a slower development time. So I'm confident in maintaining a balance for two in the foreseeable future.
This change does mean I'll have more time on the weekends and free time to dabble in other smaller animation projects. Among them a quality pass on some that I've published prior - one such project the 'Predator and Prey' clip was something that piqued my interest in working out with cleaned up cels and fully animated 24 cels per second to see how effective the smoothness would look. I had to re-scale my animation from 8 frames a second shot on 3's to 6 frames a second shot on 2's, this allows me to more easily animate all the passing positions and inbetweens. This change will mean the animation runs slightly slower for those of you who have noticed the difference but it will also allow for a more drawn out and visually appealing experience. I won't have time to always work on this since its more of a hobby side thing, but if and when I do make progress I'll be posting about it here. You can already notice the first 6 or so frames (first quarter of a second) is looking quite smooth but its not long enough to really notice unless you look closely.
