Singapore Extension Image Preview & Others

Hello everyone! It's been a few weeks since there was any news regarding the development of the Singapore project extension, so I'm going to bring you some information on the development as well as the choices I've chosen to make for the future of this project!

🌴 | Singapore Extension v0.05 :

• As previously explained in the old post I am currently working on the extension of the new area of ​​the country, I invite you to watch the old post to have the necessary information for the progress of the extensions.

• I have shared many photos and videos as well as size comparisons between the first part of the country that is currently obtainable on the patreon and the one that is currently in development.

• I can already tell you that the project is huge, I have been working for over a month on the roads and interchanges and I have completed 50 of them, it may be a trivial number for you but compared to the old version there are only 21! It's a huge complex and repetitive work in the long run but I chose to put 100% of the existing roads compared to the old version which had some roads and others not done. The project is currently 1700 kilometers of roads! Which will be the largest Assetto map ever created! However the details are important and we will talk about it a little later.

💲 | Singapore v0.04 Free :

• With the arrival of this extension the version currently (v0.04) available at $5.99 on the patreon will be completely free. I find it very interesting from an external point of view it would allow everyone to enjoy it because even if an extension that will be twice as large as the one that currently exists will be put on sale on the patreon, the first version is still incredible in my eyes, it has some flaws that will be improved over time but a free project of this kind made from scratch is very rare on Assetto.

• The extension will therefore be paid which is normal because the work provided cannot be free, it is thousands of hours to reach the end of this extension which will be much better done than the first version, including great improvements in terms of visuals/optimization without counting the size which will be twice as large, with very cult places as you could see on the photos/videos, Marina bay, F1 circuit...

📅 | After the extension v0.05 :

• I thought a lot about what I wanted to do once this extension is finished because the project is crazy but personally there are very important things missing, I noticed this on several projects like Shutoko for example. Each place on the map has its identity, its decor, its theme... and it's something that is extremely complex to achieve when you do a big project because you often work with the same Assets (Barrier, Lamppost, texture...) and it makes the project less interesting to my taste, we have the impression of driving quite often in the same places, even if the roads do not have the same direction or other, the decor remains very similar and that's what I would like to change. But in big projects doing this kind of thing is very hard because working on three areas is quite simple but when you have 100-200 that's when everything becomes very complicated, how not to do the same style of decor or representation as another area. We can't reproduce everything 100% in this kind of project it would take years and it would take an entire team, I work alone and I don't yet have the means to hire someone to carry out certain tasks added to that the complexity of the project and you will understand that it is quite hard to find a second hand. But nothing is impossible and representing the country 100% in the scenery is not the main goal, the goal will be to recover everything that exists in the country to improve this aspect and worked on some things that I did not find the time because I preferred to work on the aspect that drastically changes the appearance of each area, because time is important. All this to say that the next updates after this project will only be visual improvements, details, animations ... You know me when I say that I am not talking about changing or adding three street lights, but I am talking about making big improvements that will change the appearance of each area so that you have the impression of driving in a different place each time! What I am already trying to bring in this extension but again it is a big base that will change the look but will not bring identity to each area but rather diversification.

🚦 | Preview in a few Weeks/Months :

• The progress of the extension is going rather well even if it remains very long given the size of the project, but I think I have done the hardest part by realizing the roads / Highways, now I have the city roads to finalize and then I could share with you a first preview containing all the roads that will be available, after that I will work on the terrain, the buildings, the vegetation ... Then we will arrive towards the end of this extension and then the big changes of appearance will begin whether on v0.04 and the next version v0.05!
