The first Valentine's Day responses are landing on your doorsteps tomorrow (Sunday)! I think, even if you didn't send one, some of the responses might be interesting to read—because y'all were very imaginative with your letters, I have to say 😆❤️💌!

Other than that, I had a pretty shitty health week, pretty much all Monday to Thursday. But my brain is finally on, and I am excited to write and work again 🥹 I've been reading romance novels, and it's so fun to read something when the first impulse is to want to write more yourself!

Who would have thoughts writers need to read? 😂 /sarcasm

Anyway, I've been working on some Ball scenes and getting a lot of good Lestrade ideas lately, and it made me remember this BTS thing:

Fun fact, that line Mrs H has in the carriage was in the first version Lestrade's! (No... not the one about MC looking wonderful...)
The first little sketch of the carriage ride in ch6.1, I wrote before the bar chapter was done, and because the bar chapter was initially much more tame in insults, there was a version where L could have come along too.
To get them to go along you would have to pass a few variables and you'd get this:
-> Lestrade (cut this)
"What is so special about this case, Sherlock?" Lestrade nods at Hamish/Helena. "No offence, My Lord/Lady."

alternatively L: "There is no shortage of expensive crime—there must be a reason. What is so special about this case?"

I just think it's a hilarious image to imagine Watson, Lestrade, Mrs Hudson, Hawthorne, and Sherlock all in one carriage...
