Earfun UBOOM L - available now & firmware update

The UBOOM L is available for order right now and those who have registered for the early bird campaign should have also got their discount codes in the meantime. I was told that the codes are sent out by the same order people have registered, therefore those who haven’t received their codes yet please be patient a bit.

Like already reported all shipped units still have my early firmware installed which was optimised for the preproduction samples. Since then I had to do 2 revisions and optimise my settings towards the final production units which I got later.

To update the speaker you need to insert the USB cable in power off state while keeping the Bluetooth button pressed. It should make the speaker accessible within the app and you can load the new firmware and update it which should take some seconds. You need a USB-data cable, the included one doesn’t work.

Please let me know how everything works. In case needed I will also provide the original firmware which should already be installed on your device when I am back home as I don’t have it with me. I can also provide an in-between firmware which gave me great results with the 3rd sample I got but sounded off with the later 2 samples. Unfortunately I cannot do anything about the sample variation. I just hope all final units sound similar to my last 2 samples I got.
