Monster Lover linocut

Hi guys! Last time I was visiting Hariam we went to an art supply shop Matejko in Katowice to grab some linocut supplies. But just recently I had a chance to test then out. Here is a little piece I made with my new chisels!

I started by doodling an idea (upper right)
Then I traced the working area of by rubber block that I was planning to carve and recreated the design (upper left)
Once that was done I got some baking paper (bottom) and traced the picture onto it.

Once I was done tracing I placed the baking paper on the rubber and pressed so I could see the graphite marks of the pencil stamped on the rubber. Then I drew over it to make the design more visible and easier to work with.
This is how the block looked after carving and coating it with paint.
And here are the prints!
I'm planning on making a few more copies, signing them and offering them during the next etsy shop update 🙌
