Update on future shoots! Keep the suggestions coming
Added 2025-09-29 04:00:10 +0000 UTCI wanted to share a bit about how I choose the models I work with for ONLINE, how those shoots come together, and what that means for the suggestions many of you have been sending through.
Firstly—a high portion of agency models say no. Their bookers usually control what they can and can’t shoot, and a lot of them are cautious about independent projects like this. That said, ONLINE is slowly building a name for itself as something non-exploitative and collaborative. You might have noticed that many of the models I feature are signed to major agencies in Australia—so it’s getting there.
Still, it definitely limits who I can work with.
I’ve kept notes on every suggestion you’ve sent so far, and I’ve reached out to a lot of them—many of whom I already wanted to work with. The challenge is that, at this stage, ONLINE doesn’t bring in major income or visibility just yet, so it’s a tough sell for some people.
What works in my favour, though, is the way I run this project:
Revenue is split 50/50 with the model, after costs
The model has final say on what’s published
Every shoot includes a detailed brief, image consent form, and safety documentation
It’s built on trust, and I think that matters.
(Though yes, giving final image approval does slow me a lot, I've got 3 issues waiting on approvals at the moment.)
Please keep the suggestions coming—they genuinely help. I have over 100 names on my list for future issues, but I’m always looking for new faces, and hearing what you want to see keeps this whole thing collaborative.
Heading to the Whitsundays feels like a big next step, and I’m really excited to show you what I create with the girls while I’m there.
