Announcement : New IOS Fees

As you may be aware, in November Apple is imposing a 30% fee for using the Patreon IOS app to make payments. Creators do not receive any of this money – it goes directly to Apple, and in order to continue selling on Apple products Patreon has agreed to charge this fee.
What this means for you: Nothing will change for most users. This fee applies only to new purchases. If you’re happy at your current tier, you won’t need to do anything. If you want to change your tier or upgrade to paid, make sure that you do so via computer or Android device to avoid the fee. If you’re signing up for the first time, please use a computer or Android device.
How do I avoid this fee?: The best way to avoid this fee is by making payments on a non-Apple device. You don’t have to change your card info or anything – just make sure the payment doesn’t go through on an Apple device, and you’re good!
Can I still use the app on my iPad or iPhone for other things?: Yes! You can browse, comment, like posts, etc. As long as you don’t pay for anything using that app, you won’t incur the fee.
