Sagittarius prompts and sketches π¨
Added 2023-11-24 11:56:47 +0000 UTCYesterday, we picked the prompts for Sagittarius! As suggested on a livestream, we were shooting darts, and the prompts were hidden in 28 balloons. We had a conversation with you on the AfterParty what is a more defining feature of this sign, a centaur (human + horse), a centaur-like hybrid (human + anything four-legged), or just a bow with arrows. And we decided to try the hybrid and bow approach. That's why we divided the prompts into two categories: topics and animals; and chose one in each category.
Despite me wanting a human + cat or wolf hybrid, the fate wanted a horse π
but, more specifically, a zebra! And Barb shot a balloon with ancient Greek aesthetic!
I remember including ancient style on a few lists, and now it's finally happening. It would be the perfect prompt for Libra, but Sagittarius is the second best choice, especially since centaurs come from Greek mythology!
We made a few sketches, but we're still not sure which one to choose. My favorite is the first one, but it's going to be the hardest to do because of some technical stuff.
For the doll bases, we decided to use Avea Trotter for the horse base with Cleo de Nile as the torso and the head. I would opt for a half artdoll made with wire and faux fur for a canine or feline centaur, but I think for a zebra, this is going to be the best base. I'm not confident enough to sculpt a horse base myself, that's a whole different hobby, and I'm not into horses that much π

As a Sagittarius I think it looks so freaking cool!!!! That fav is the first one due to the double gradient on the legs (cool to warm and the light to dark) makes a lovely catch of the eye but honestly I wouldnβt mind any of them :D theyβre all so good

My favorite is the first one. All the prompts were so cool! I feel like you could use that randomizer again someday if you're not sure what to make next. π How difficult would plus size moose have been?

The first and the third are our favorites. In the first one the prompts are very clear, but the third one is pretty π

I think I like 1st design the most (black gradients on hair and hooves looks good from the distance), but I also like 3rd and vibrant purple...

2023-11-24 13:20:21 +0000 UTCThese are all gorgeous designs! I personally prefer the 3rd design where the zebra body is purple. I think the orange stripes on top look a lot like flames and lean into that fire element!
