Thatcher's Techbase

Hello! It’s me, Owen, and I’m back with quite a different kind of Infinite Review video. One that I’m very proud of. This is a mini documentary about Thatcher’s Techbase, a Doom WAD with an interesting story that I felt was worth preserving. Look at me, everyone! I can be a proper YouTuber when I want to be!

Huge thanks to Richie for the professional interview footage, huge thanks to Jim and Barry for enduring their interviews. And huge thanks to [spoiler] for getting [spoiler] to [spoiler]. And finally, a huge thanks to [spoiler] for that [spoiler].

I always hope that people who enjoy the videos will share them with others who may enjoy them, but this time I would really like to see the video being shared as much as possible. A lot of work went into it and I do hope it’s seen. The last three videos (Tekken, E3 2023 and this one) were all much bigger than my videos usually are, and I desperately need to take it easier next time. I’m going to try my best to not scale back next time. Stay tuned for something silly and fun! Fingers crossed I can stop myself making it 10 times more complicated than it needs to be.

In the meantime, enjoy the story of THATCHER’S TECHBASE, and remember – all $3 patrons get a new podcast with each new video! Later today you will hear the RETURN of SHOW AND TELL HELL! And it’s a doozy.

This was a total banger. It and the last E3 video seem like they must've taken massive effort. Just gotta say, I really love them, so my vote goes toward the work being worth it. There's certainly dosh in the coffers of the British and Irish media that'd be spent well on semi-satirical documentaries by Richie, Owen, and everyone, though I doubt it ever will be.

By the way, what do you think about reviewing “snake”. It was a game that we had on our Nokia phones.

Owen, loved this last video. Was so different and peculiarly strange. In a normal way. While watching, I had no idea if this was a “real” interview you did, or you had taken an old interview and superimposed your questions into it. Was it real? Maybe. But actually does not matter. In a strange way, I would almost prefer if it was fictional and you never actually spoke to that dude. But if you did talk to him, great. I also liked that none of your sidekicks were involved. (Sean et al). Don’t get me wrong. I love your videos with Sean (god forgive me me for spelling his name wrong). But I loved the simplicity of this video.

[spoiler] bit was very funny. Good stuff

This is a review that's half DOOM 2016, half DOOM Eternal, no? Haven't watched it yet, but, maybe it's mistitled. Warm regards to all, this is the only virtual space where I feel a sense of community.
