No one on this show is exactly good, theyβve all done shitty things. Beth is ruthless because she was raised to be ruthless. Jamie is the son John raised to be in law to get the family out of legal situations, Lee was raised to run the ranch, Beth was raised to fight people who John sees as threats, and Kayce was the baby of the family who was spoiled by everyone until he started acting in ways that John didnβt like.
