ETS 2/ATS Lighting Improvements - Performance
Added 2025-02-11 14:27:39 +0000 UTCOptimization is almost ready and I'm planning to release the test version soon as possible.
Currently there isn't any setting for lower quality and this is the result I get on test computer:
GPU: RTX 4050 (laptop) = RTX 3060 for desktop
Game settings: Highest Quality with 100% resolution scaling at 1080p (low quality mirrors for better comparison)
New lighting settings: Highest Quality
Result: 130-140 fps
Rendering a frame takes 7 ms on average (everything included, game base rendering + new lighting + TAA).
New lighting with new AO + Reflections takes 2 ms (average) to render. Everything depends on the scene.
Comments
For the vast majority of South America, which plays in 1080p, unlike Europe in 4k, this will be a totally satisfactory upgrade. We can only be grateful.

Anyway I'm sure I don't need to see nothing since I'm using Snowy's TAA for more than a year now and never found anything better than that. So, I will simply wait for the release of the new improvement and I will install it being absolutely sure my game will drastically improve instantly 😀 And if anyone would use this and further release from Snowy and will not support him also "monetarily" that one must be an absolute jerk believe me😀
