NTR in Our Game: Poll Results & Our Decisions!

Recently, we conducted a poll on Patreon about adding avoidable NTR content to Other Side: Mop & Mayhem. A huge thanks to everyone who voted and shared their thoughts on NTR in games!
The poll results showed a strong preference in favor, but we don’t want to alienate players who aren’t into this content. So, we’ve decided to introduce a new character in future updates who will have two routes—Netorare and Netori. Every player will be able to choose the route they prefer.
Here’s what we learned from our discussions with you:
1. Netorare should be explicitly shown to the player, ensuring that no one accidentally ends up on an NTR route.
2. Some players mentioned that NTR doesn’t work well as an “extra kink”—if a game wasn’t initially designed with NTR in mind, adding it can disrupt the experience for both those who enjoy it and those who don’t.
We agree with this, so we’re implementing dedicated game mechanics and story elements to make the Netorare experience as engaging as possible.
3. The idea of a competitive aspect in NTR content was brought up, and we think it’s an exciting concept!
Here’s how we plan to implement it:
• If a player chooses the NTR route for a character, they will have an option to enable a “competitive” mode, where they can still try to win back the heroine’s heart—if they play their cards right.
• What are your thoughts on this competitive mode? Your feedback is really important to us!
4. Some players said they’ve grown attached to existing characters and wouldn’t want to see them involved in NTR at all.
• We respect this perspective, so for now, NTR content will only involve newly introduced characters specifically designed for this kink.
