Weekly Update - July 23, 2017
Added 2017-07-23 13:48:50 +0000 UTCHi everyone! This is the first of a new weekly series that breaks off the updates that were attached to the Patreon letter into their own post. This is in large part because locking updates away behind the $5+ tier was a bad choice, even if it means slightly more work from us to get two of these up a week. This'll be pretty short, at least.
- A new Amory Score dropped that I guested on, where I tried to remember all the bullshit I had been told about the first Coheed & Cambria album. It's a fun time! These are good casts.
- The Patreon letter this week is a lengthy essay from me on the rocky road that is starting a podcast with someone who is so different in disposition and age from yourself. I'm told it's good!
- My Life is Strange let's play continues. We'll be wrapping up episode 3 with one of the best, dumbest reveals next week. Stay tuned!
That's all from us for this past week. It's weird when a single podcast feels like a light week, but I guess that's the new normal for us. So let's take a short look at the week ahead.
- It looks like Max Payne won our game club poll for August, so that's what we'll play! I didn't want to influence votes, but me and Jackson might also be watching a certain bad Marky Mark vehicle as part of the podcast plans.
- There's a new Second Officer Slog coming on Tuesday, which is our first comics-focused episode. It's going to be especially silly.
- Jackson and Destiny intend to record a new Goof Zone next Saturday. As always, send in your questions to podcast@abnormalmapping.com!
Thanks everyone for your support so far! We're trucking along at a steady pace, with mostly small gains here and there. I consider that healthy, since that hopefully means long term pledges. We've already started laying the groundwork for what we want our new movie show to be when we hit $200 a month, and I think the idea we have is really awesome.
Outside of that? Long term plans are always happening, I have an aspirational goal for the site I'd love to enable at some point, but we'll see. As always, hit me up with any questions or concerns about the network as a whole. Email, use the comments, I think you can private message through Patreon? You're all smart, you'll figure it out.
Until next week, friends,
M
