Weekly Update - Aug 13, 2017
Added 2017-08-13 14:38:16 +0000 UTCHey everyone, M here filling in for Jackson because they're busy busy. We have too much content this week and probably too little for next week. We're going to definitely try to schedule things better next month, this month's just a little weird.
Before we get into stuff, I wanted to point out that if you go to the website there's a new show. Fireside Friends has been added to our network as the first show we host in the internet and not broadcast sense. They're good friends, and they regularly get cool guests, so maybe give them a listen!
Anyway, this week:
- Second Officer Slog returned with what is, to date, the best Star Trek book. We gush about DS9 relaunch's Twilight.
- Jackson's Patreon letter this week compares the recent No Man's Sky update to their continuing friction with being a Coheed & Cambria fan. It's good reading! I picked up NMS and played a bit of it, it seems: cool.
- Amory Score returns with an hour long epic about the Battle of Silent Earth, with abundant Mayo and all the space wives you could shake a stick at. It's a good time. The song's also not actually that bad, for once!
- I put out a call for game suggestions for the September Abnormal Mapping. This is your last chance to suggest games until November, so get on it! We're looking specifically for small games and will do two or three if they're small enough, so offer your favorite tiny tiny games or I'll just put in Balloon Fight.
- My Life is Strange LP has rounded the corner into broad tragedy as we near the end of Episode 4. Strap in for sadness! I like this game a whole lot.
- Our Meta Mapping re-release schedule tackles episode 35, where we talked about a writing initiative that never panned out and Paper Mario. 2015 feels like a lifetime ago.
And that's it! We're actually not doing much this upcoming week, because Jackson's so busy. So expect my Life is Strange LP to head into episode 5 and not much else. Sorry for the uneven nature of this month, things just sometimes shake out that way. Be sure to suggest a game if you pledge at $5 or more! We'd really like to do some itchios!
