Our 2017 in Games: A Tale of a Spreadsheet
Added 2017-11-25 19:42:40 +0000 UTCHey everyone, it's almost December which means me and Jackson put a hard lock on what counts for our Game of the Year discussion. We find it easier and healthier to just count our year as starting on December 1 and ending November 30 than trying to rush through games right up to recording. We're not charged with being thorough anyway, and our goty list is explicitly about games that are new to us, so why not?
Now that our list is done, though, I figured we could share it with you, our patrons, so you can see a bit of what goes into our year playing games. We've been doing this spreadsheet for almost four years now, and it helps a lot when referencing whether you played a thing and what year you might have played it in. I'm much more likely to revisit a game from 2014 than I am one from this year, but I might not actually remember what year I played anything because I'm a) bad at dates and b) living in a hellscape where time has no meaning anymore.
