Meant to ask this on the last Blockbusters, but I wanted you both to expand on the “Hosoda is full of shit” when comparing him and Shinkai? I lol’ed at it, but was curious what makes Hosoda ‘insincere’ in his films in a way that Shinkai is super corporate anime but fully sincere?
