Writers Block, and Moving Forward
Added 2024-10-28 13:59:16 +0000 UTCIt might not be a surprise since I haven't been posting or making much progress on Sigma 16 or ShipCore A5 for a while. I've been really struggling to achieve any words written at all on either story.
It's just like my head goes blank, running into a invisible barrier.
A brick wall would be better--at least I'd have the feedback of running into something.
This has gone on long enough that I think I just have to pivot to something else right now, and take a crack at it later.
Because I really would like to write something! I have tons of ideas of things I would like to write. Just not the ones I'm supposed to.
So I'm going to work on a side project for a while, and hope that shakes things loose and then I can move back to working on S16 and SC:A5 steadily.

2024-10-28 15:14:23 +0000 UTCI follow numerous Patreon authors and all of them run into this at one point or another. The answer is usually pretty simple. Do what you need to in order to de-stress about what your writing (walk away for a couple of weeks, write other stories, outline the next series, let yourself get sick, take a vacation, go to the spa, and do all of it without guilt). You’ve gotta take care of yourself first. If your passion is focused on these other stories then follow that passion. We all love the stories you are currently telling but forcing yourself to write those in a distracted state will lead to subpar results going forward. And neither we nor you want that. It’s really hard to take something back once you’ve written it and released it. So when your passion leads back to these stories then it’ll be time to pick up Ship or Sigma or Demoness again. Just remember we follow you on Patreon because we adore your writing. If you’ve got something new tossing around your head then odds are that we’ll love that, too.

2024-10-28 14:53:23 +0000 UTCSorry to hear. Might I sugest writing a short (one book) idea so you dont end up with one extra epic long (multiple book) story that you need to stress about? I am no expert in these matters but having a pallet cleanser seems a solid idea just do not make is an extra meal😋
