Community Service "Hours"

This is based on an idea I have for a longer story about a guy who is convicted of a minor crime and is sentenced to community service hours at a nursing home. There, he meets a woman in her final days who keeps referring to him as a female name who turns out to be the best friend she had as a young housewife in the 1950s. Every time he visits the nursing home, he is thrown back in time with her. Can he escape back to modern times?
