“We don’t have to worry about that for right now. Baby steps!”
“Are you f*ing with me, bro? You call this baby steps?”
“Let’s drop that word from your vocabulary around me. I did a lot for you today.”
“You even sound like her…”
“Because I AM her now!”
“Umm… She’s still alive.”
“I know that much, but think of me as her nearly identical twin. She meant a lot to you and I couldn’t believe she would ever cheat on an amazing guy like you. Obviously you can do better and that’s why I had to do this.”
“You wanted to become a girl?!”
“Not exactly, but I was telling my cousin Courtney about it and she went on to explain how maybe I had more feelings for you than as a guy friend and needed to explore my gender a bit more. When I talked about your ex-girlfriend and showed her a picture, she mentioned that I looked a lot like her in the face and with a few medications at the salon, some self-care, and a new wardrobe I could pull off looking JUST LIKE HER.”
“And you do… I’ll give you credit for that. It’s just a bit of a jump… You are a great GUY friend and not sure how I feel about dating… you… her… this is just confusing!”
“Let’s just have fun on our ‘first’ date and see where things go. Call me by her name and treat me the same as you treated her. Don’t worry, I’ll treat you better than she ever did.”
