“Hey Courtney, how was your day?”

“Fine. Just making some content for my blog.”

“Wow, people still blog? Figured it was all about TikTok and YouTube nowadays.”

“How was your day?”

“Crazy day at the office. Need a break sometime…. Umm did you clean the kitchen like I asked?”

“I’ll do my chores later.”

“We are roommates. Even though you rent from me, need to keep up on shared responsibilities around the house.”

“You sound like my Mom. Oh, I did happen to install that water filter on the sink since you like tap water so much. And there is this special chemical that goes on it to make sure everything is clean. And there is something for you to sign on the dining room table.”

“What in the world is this? Legally guardianship? Who is Jennifer Captisa? Enrollment at Haven High?! You are going back to school?! Courtney… you need to see a psych or something. I know the divorce was rough and you want to start over but this is unusual. You dress like you are young back in the 2000s and even though you paid rent for three years in advance, I don’t know if I can handle living with you.”

“What are you saying?! I’m going to do a lot for you! It would mean so much to me if you would just sign those papers and we can see how things are in three months. I promise if things don’t improve I’ll look into… umm. Moving in with my dad or something.”
