Upcoming changes to QUANTUM VIBE
Added 2017-09-30 17:27:28 +0000 UTCSince its beginning QUANTUM VIBE has enjoyed support from a secret patron who has been supplementing the earnings from this project enough that I can live a modest lifestyle. Unfortunately that well is starting to run dry, and the supplements will be greatly reduced at the end of this year.
The 5-days-per-week update schedule for a strip like QV requires a full-time commitment, and if I'm not bringing in full-time income I must devote time to other work, which means reducing the update frequency for the strip. I am also looking at a format change which while reducing the update frequency still further will, I hope, make for a more satisfying reading experience.
The format changes will take place at the end of the current "Assimulation" story-arc, which should end on November 3 (but might be a week later).
I do greatly appreciate all the support I've received from my Patrons over the past year and a half. Some of you at the higher tier levels have kicked in quite a lot of money to support this project and while I regret the need to reduce my output for a while I want to keep offering the value QUANTUM VIBE brings for you as long as I can still draw.
But the bottom line is, I need more Patrons. About three times as many, if I'm to continue (or return to) creating the comic full-time. I'm open to suggestions as to how I might attract more Patrons, and of course encouraging your fellow sci-fi fans to read and support the strip is always helpful.
