Release now, or later?
Added 2022-07-17 16:52:36 +0000 UTCOk so basically, it's really fucking hot here in the UK right now (For those that didn't know, I'm in the UK lol). Perhaps not hot compared to some countries, but we're not built for this heat here. Anyway, the heat is affecting my productivity a lot, and it's also melting my computer.
Normally I'd just keep working towards what I have planned, but I'm conscious that I haven't released anything in a while, so yeah. I had originally planned to include a bit more content in the next release, but currently it's sitting at 30 to 45 minutes depending on how you play and how much you care about collectables.
The plan was to introduce the rest of the main girls in this update. Currently, this update includes story elements that go through the first day at the Academy, but it's also mostly Riley and Cassie. (Some of the other characters appear, but they don't get explored much yet)
Here's why I'm doing a poll. The content is gonna be the same either way, it's just about what content goes in which update. 2 options below.
1) Release what I've got now, 30-45 minutes ish.
2) Wait until I've got the story to where I originally planned it to be for this release, and then release it.
Regardless of which choice wins, there's the same amount of h scenes. (I will never release an update with no H scenes. That's just lame)
Really it's just a question of whether you want the story bits I'm working on right now to be the last part of this update, or the first part of the next update (Which will be public).
Also keep in mind that that whenever I release the update, the Professor tier patrons will get access a week earlier than everyone else.

On a side note, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far, or winter if you're in Australia or something. I'm constantly seeing shirtless men jogging outside my window, which is crazy since I don't even live in Brighton..

All good. Regardless of what people decide, I won't release something that isn't ready for release. Really it's just a question of shorter update now, or slightly longer update later. Wanted to gather perspectives on it to see what the general consensus was. Too early to tell so far, but I guess we'll see. I'm hoping it won't be long either way. I really just don't want people thinking I've stopped working lol

2022-07-18 00:51:57 +0000 UTCI voted keep working on it, but I also understand the appeal of releasing it now to build up more support (assuming what you have ready to release is in a state you're satisfied with other than its length), so I'm really more of 50-50 on the poll.
