QV09 Page 4 layer by layer

Pages 3 and 4 featuring some aerial combat were a bit complicated  to generate, so I thought a quick run-through of how these were assembled might be of interest.

1. In Photoshop, lay in the dialog  on a template.
2. Rough pencils of the characters and action.
3. Inks on primary layer.
4. Inks on Segundo Azul and holocat (Michael) layers.
5. Flat colors on the primary layer
6. Flat colors on the Segundo Azul and holocat layers
7. Also the blaster fire and "POP" effects
8. The Miyaki Shield surrounding the Segundo Azul building.
9. Add shades and highlights on the layers corresponding to the three layers of objects and don't get them confused and then have to go back and redo stuff and JFC.

I have like 20 layers in this sumbitch.

You make it look easy. It's good to let us see how really difficult making a comic is. Of course you can't show us the hardest part, coming up with the whole megillah. Of course you photograph the dents in your drawing board and computer desk.
