Thanks and Plans for 2024

Hey guys! Its been quite a year. At the end of 2022, I had fourteen active patrons. Now there are...slightly more of you. An order of magnitude more, in fact! Holy shit—it barely feels real to be perfectly honest.

Anyway, before I go any further, I want to thank all of you for being here with me. Being a writer always felt like a completely unachievable dream, something I could work at for a million years but that would never really happen. Now that dream feels a lot more real and I owe it all to you. Knowing that so many people believe that my work has actual value and want to support me is genuinely breathtaking and its one of the things that has kept me going through a pretty rough year.

Whether you've been here for a week, a month, or an entire freaking year and a half, I am so thankful for each and every one of you. From the bottom of my heart, y'all are the best.

Now then, onto what you are probably actually interested in. 2023 was not my best year in terms of productivity. I've had some rough patches where I didn't post for way too long and I kind of feel terrible about that. As such, going forward I'm going to try to do better. You guys deserve that much and more.

My goal for 2024 is going to be at least 9 chapters a month. WWDtS, LiFS, and a third story (more below) will each update at least on the first, second, and fourth Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday of each month. Depending on how that particular month is going, I will always try for full 12 chapters, but I'm not certain I can commit to that so I'd rather set a goal I can hit and potentially exceed than one I'm likely to fall short of.

The current plan is that LiFS will continue to update on Sundays, WWDtS will be Thursdays, and Tuesdays will be the day for whatever other story I'm working on at the time. At the moment, that story is going to be my latest project: Great Power Comes in Many Witches (name subject to change). I have been working on this story on-and-off for a few months now and its finally nearing a state I'm happy with. The first few chapters of that story will be posted for all patrons during the holidays and I'm looking forward to seeing what you all think of it.

I've yet to write up a particularly good summary, but long story short its another magic school setting except this time with slightly more sex and slightly less murder. The protagonist is not as horribly traumatized (imagine the previous two words being struck through because I couldn't find a way to do that on patreon) as Orion, but he has his own issues and is living in another kind of fucked up world. I've really enjoyed writing it so far and I think most people who like WWDtS will like this story too.

Looking at the next two weeks there will be one more chapter of LiFS on Sunday this week (the 24th) but not on the 31st. Between the holidays, family, and my birthday I just don't think I'll have time unfortunately. Depending on whether or not I manage to finish the next chapter of WWDtS before Christmas, we may have one more update for that story this year? No promises, but I would really like to get that out as well. Otherwise, look forward to Sunday's chapter and the first few chapters of GPCiMW starting this coming Tuesday.

Side note. If you read those chapters and think of a better name, please let me know. I'm not a huge fan of the current title, but haven't thought of anything better yet.
