What do people think of minigames?

How does everyone feel in regards to minigames? Do you find them to be unnecessary things that just block your access to the lewd scenes or do you enjoy them?
This is mostly in regards to the dragon ball infinity project as we cannot decide whether or not to add "sparring" scenes that actually require the player to pay attention or just give it a simple black screen that gets the job done.
The best example I can think of at the moment is the gun shooting minigame from "A Zombie's Life" if anyone has played it.
