they pretty much kicked that one red head girl (lucy) out of the guild cause she failed her mission to capture atsushi and was like a servant worker now. so her betraying them isn’t really that surprising especially considering things she was talking about in her previous episode and ranpo and dazai are definitely both smart enough to predict the guilds plan and atsushi’s plan and come up with a plan of their own. they prove many times later in the show just how smart they are and how good they are at predicting and strategizing. they are both insanely smart. this show does have some plot armor for sure tho
