So I got a bit distracted as I embark on the next step in my metal working journey. I wanted to learn to cast the metal a bit more rudimentary than straight lost wax (this is a specific casting method don’t worry much about it)
In my quest for learning how to do this thing I made a fair few, shall we say cock ups, anyway I finally got it right kinda. And made a signet ring. It’s kinda hard to do just takes some planning I guess still not sure what made it work but I’m sure that changing the pour direction made it work better but I am struggling to figure out what makes it work or not work. Takes a few minutes to setup each time too so only managed to do a bunch before I had to go home. I’ll do some more testing as soon as I can.
Also today I worked on some mechanical sketches again for the first time in a while. That part of my brain hurts now lol. Can’t show you yet but as soon as I have a working prototype I will share all.
