Comic update!
Added 2025-07-13 05:11:01 +0000 UTCHello~ I just wanted to share the news that I have started working on inking Interrupted, the kinda long-running Wells, Brooke, and Rö comic you may have read the draft of. I've inked two pages in the last three days, and I'm working on it more today.
I'd previously hit a bit of a wall; after doing that dunmeshi comic I was really trying to push towards a 'thin-line' style, since I admire how it can work, especially in manga. I did a bunch of different test inks and even some test colour (I think I will try to compile these to share with you folks) in different styles, trying to find something that felt good.
In the end, though, I think I was striking a bad balance between pushing my craft and doing what I'm more comfortable with. I just like, doubled my brush size and I'm having fun with it again. Because I'm working at a larger than usual canvas size, an old textured brush I didn't like looks way better (more pixels makes the texture more subtle).
Today I had a sudden burst of energy and I drew a bunch of fragmented character comic stuff in my physical sketchbook, of Wells, Brooke, Rö, unnamed deer/goat girl, and her also unnamed future super gay gf who doesn't even have a locked design. It's pretty fun stuff, but very illegible. I might make some cleaned up sketchy versions of them, or maybe just scan them and replace my handwriting with type.
