Feedback poll for former patrons and free followers

Hey everyone, but especially those of you that fall into one (or both) of the above groups.

This is a poll I've been considering to do for a long time.

Although the level of support we're currently getting is alright, especially considering some of the "birth throes" both GoV and HHR have had, it's still quite down compared to the peak support levels towards the end of TM's development.
And even during TM's peak, we were always lagging far behind some other games that aren't much better in terms of graphics, so I've always been wondering about this.
So to any of you who either quit your subscription, are considering to quit your subscription, or are hesitant to subscribe, I'd like to know your main reasons.

Of course, there'll be some survivorship bias, since quite a few TM fans or those who lost patience with me regarding HHR during Feb-to-May might have stopped following this page entirely;
Still, this feedback may help us make better decisions in the future.

So if you're a former patron or hesitate to subscribe, what is or are your main reason(s) for cancelling your subscription before, or hesitating to subscribe/considering to unsubscribe?

Multi-choice, in case more than 1 of the options is true for you.

Hi, Can I vote -1 please for the option of "I didn't like the last TM updates, or the dirty TM special" ? ;) I mean, TM had (even before the dirty special) a little kinky aspect of the maids being owned/serving the protagonist as their employer (And reminded me of COM3D2, which is one of my favorites). GoV and HHR are both pretty cute but are so Vanilla for my tastes ;) I would also vote -1 for the "Not enough side benefit". I have not yet seen a dev in Patreon that spends as much time in his discord / polls and cares so much about player's inputs. I mean, I have originally started my subscription after I've submitted a small glitch report on discord, just to get a full reply of how you'll fix it in the next version, below 1h after I've posted it, and then I just had the urge to donate ^^ I agree with what Padyshar wrote, the worse possible scenario would be that you burn yourself out and leave both projects unfinished. There are many genres, so if it's something you like and enjoy making, I am certain that we will enjoy it as long as you don't give up on it in the middle. You definitely have the talent, now it's just a lot of hard work, sweat and tears until you make it happen ;) Many creators in Patreon struggle with their update speeds. That's a given. it's hard to keep creating content non-stop at a fast pace. If your question is about monetizing, I've noticed that some of the other creators attempt to pack a larger content and then try to hype it for several weeks prior to release when it's "almost ready" with sneak peeks. then they release a "beta/high tier" version for 20-50$ for a one-two weeks before releasing to lower tiers. Many people buy those because they are not willing to wait, but of course they also immediately go back to free/low tier for the next couple of months. One more idea, you can (if you didn't yet) employ the help of AI tools to help you validate your renpy/python code or even write/tidy your logic which could definitely help speed up the non creative and more technical parts. (I don't think that using it to create the dialogs is viable at this point without reducing quality, perhaps with a lot of supervision and hand made changes. and for animated scenes you have KK which is still much better for now than AI imo, but that might change in the future). Well, there I've gone and wasted another $1.50 of your time ^^ So... If you made it through all of that, thanks so much for your time... hope to see you at the next update!

Thanks for the heads-up, and yeah I read it all ;) I really appreciate it, and it's definitely something worth taking into account. I'm looking into how to resolve this and have some ideas about it (although it won't affect the next 2 months).

I haven't gone anywhere, still a patron... but some of the concerns above are valid reasons for considering it... but let me explain... (I'm truly not trying to be overly critical, just playing a bit of 'Devil's Advocate' for a moment) I've seen FAR too many talented devs with good ideas stretch themselves WAY too thinly with multiple projects, often causing burnout, and nearly always causing friction among patrons/followers/random trolls because ("I joined for THIS project, not THAT one...") they didn't feel they were getting what they paid for, etc... Mainly because, more often than not, the separate projects wind up getting billed on different pages (not the case here, I know)... you get the idea. More stress for you, trying to keep everyone happy, and trying to meet deadlines set for multiple projects, dealing with ungrateful people (some of whom get it for free, anyway)... the list goes on. You're ultimately going to do the best following the work that calls to you most; perhaps failing that, you'll try to stick to the order in which they came to you, or possibly even leaving it up to patrons to decide which project to focus on first. Keep in mind: you will never be able to please everyone. Period. It's not healthy to try doing that. Keep YOU happy, and you'll do your best work... followers and patrons will follow, I promise you. Find the project that 'does it' for you, and stick to that until it's finished. There's a reason we loved TM so much: you poured your heart and soul into it, and focused on it... and delivered something amazing. I have not tried GoV because I jumped into HHR first, and saw the potential... and then inwardly groaned when I saw you'd began another project (again, GoV) as well. Not because I thought either would be bad; far from it, I don't doubt they both have potential because I saw your work with TM. I groaned because it's a pattern I've seen (too often) in the world that is AVNs, and I can only hope that burnout from 'too many irons in the fire' doesn't rob us (or you) of BOTH projects. I'm not saying it's set in stone, I just know what I've seen too many times in the past. I currently have in my library over 170 adult games, probably 50% AVNs, with only 5 or so being completed projects... probably 20 or more will likely never be completed, such as Thirty Days (steam purchased) Heavenly Peaks Cultivation, Stormside, Mercenaries, Daily Life of the Pan Hero... I could go on, but it's depressing (both because they will never be finished, and because I don't get out enough lol). I know... it paints a grim picture... I don't honestly believe any respectable dev with ideas that great would willingly do something like that, but it happens. OCN, I'm here, still paying my dues because I have faith: in your ability and conviction. Think about the picture I'm painting, and maybe consider either focusing on one or the other, or coming up with a schedule that is fair for both projects-- say two months on one, then two on the other, and breaks after one update each ( just as an example) or something similar. This is just my two cents (looking at the wall of text, it's more like $1.50). I'm still here, and I'm more jaded than most... just keep us posted on this. That's key. No filibuster, no technobabble, just honesty... honesty always helps with trust. If you made it through all of that, thanks so much for your time... hope to see you at the next update!
