I also have an opinion about Keen's reaction. Ever since he was a child, he wanted his Mother's approval so much that he turned a blind eye to all her bad actions. I would say that he had some kind of psychological need. It seems that as a child he was very afraid that he would be abandoned. By the way, we really don't know anything about his parents. Maybe everything in his eyes looked as if they had abandoned him. And the time spent in the orphanage only traumatized him even more. I don't justify him at all, it just really looks like some kind of mania.

I'm not such a fatalist, more of an optimist, so I thought that at most they would go to prison, not die. The only thing that worries me is that they promised 12 episodes, and everything will be resolved in 11.
