2025-08-20 19:41:11 +0000 UTCTien and the humans falling off is a criticism people often throw around (sometimes blaming certain arcs for it), but let’s be honest, Tien, Chiaotzu, Yajirobe, and Yamcha were all immediately powercliffed after each of their debut arcs. I’m not saying they immediately became useless, but there’s a very clear difference between Tournament Tien and King Piccolo saga Tien where he almost died not even 8 episodes into the saga. It means that these human characters are always in a game of catch-up, and once they catch up, the characters ahead of them would’ve moved along even further. It’s sad but I think it’s inevitable with a franchise like DB that has quick-paced power scaling. I’m more disappointed by how Tien lost his personality than his power, tbh
