Dawn & Dusk finale (Excerpt - Next Move)

Lukas wandered the glade for some time. His body still glistened with water from the pond that he’d bathed in earlier, but he was hesitant to return to the outpost just yet. He was not stalling or avoiding the twin sisters or their queen - the three had become a bright spot in an otherwise miserable military campaign. But he needed some time on his own to collect his thoughts.

He stretched out his muscles as he paced along the path from the pond, testing out his own body. By now, he could move around completely unassisted, his wounds having completely healed by this point. The worst he got was a dull ache at nighttime. Of course, the two sisters and now Queen Ariel were putting him through his paces with their frequent lovemaking, and he was able to physically respond to them much more, now that he had fully recovered.

But while his body had healed, his heart remained divided.

“Have you lost your way?”

Lukas glanced upwards and saw Naestra smiling down at him, perched on a thick tree branch above. Her bow was slung over her shoulder rather than pointed at him, naturally. He had long since stopped fearing that from either of them, even from Arahan. Still, he had to remind himself of just how stealthy they were. He had not detected the raven-haired she-elf’s approach whatsoever. Had he been an enemy, he would not have seen anything. He’d be dead.

He snorted with a smirk, shaking his head and running a hand through his reddish hair. Naestra hopped down from the tree, standing before him. Lukas looked around. “Where are Arahan and your mother?”

“She is not our mother. Not really. But I suppose it isn’t far from the truth either,” she said, playing with her bowstring. “Nevertheless, Arahan and the queen are preoccupied at the outpost.”

“Is the queen reprimanding your sister for something?”

Naestra smirked. “Naturally. Her heavy-handedness in leaving no Skaven prisoners alive during that last incursion. The rat-men are cowardly by nature, and it might not have been hard to interrogate any survivors on the whereabouts of the rest of their ilk.”

Lukas nodded. “I suppose there is logic in that. Though given what those creatures did to my countrymen, I cannot say I pity what Arahan did to them.”

“I understand.” She sat down on a tree stump with her legs crossed, the dark-haired wood elf looking at him with a small frown. “Are you well, Lukas? You seem rather…dismayed. I would think you would be happy now that your body is whole again.”

Lukas sighed. “It is nothing I wish to burden you with.”

Naestra frowned, stroking his arm. “Come now, tell me. It does you no good to keep your troubles buried deep within.”

He nodded. “I suppose I am just homesick. I do not miss Reikland necessarily, but I do miss my brother, my sister, and my stepfather.”

“It is only natural to miss family,” Naestra said warmly. “Arahan, as frustrating as she is, is everything to me. I could not imagine being apart from her. She makes me whole.”

Lukas smirked. “I have noticed.” He looked off into the vibrant foliage, his mind wandering again. “I just need my family to know that I am still alive, at the very least.”

“Now that your wounds are healed, you can depart whenever you wish to return to them. I would be sad to see you leave. As would Arahan, even if she would never admit it,” Naesta said with a sad smile. “But I would understand.”

“That’s just it,” Lukas said. “I am torn in two. Part of me wants to remain here, with both of you. Especially now that you are with child. My child.”

Naestra leaned over and kissed him on the lips, the young man hugging the beautiful elf to him as if he did not wish to let her go. Pulling bad, she looked at him with a frown. “Arahan and I have a sacred duty. One that we cannot abandon.”

Lukas looked disappointed, feeling a sinking feeling as he felt she was rejecting him.

Naestra seemed to notice this and rubbed his back. “I will speak with the queen. Perhaps we can come to an accord. And in the meantime, you may decide your next course of action.”

He nodded, relaxing somewhat. “Thank you, Naestra. You’ve been very kind to me.”

She grinned, putting her hands to his shoulders and giving him a gentle shove off the tree stump and onto the soft earth beneath him. Before he knew it, the raven-haired beauty was sitting atop him, leaning down and planting gentle kisses on his lips. “When one so sweet and adorable comes into our midst, how else am I to treat him?”

Her hand rubbed over the growing bulge in his trousers, her expression suddenly looking very mischievous and Arahan-like. She unlaced his trousers while planting kissed down his toned torso, gradually navigating lower and lower, shivers running through his body all the while. She had a wicked glint in her eye as she deftly tugged his trousers down, his erect pink cock springing out in the process. She looked up into his face, her eyes seeking his permission without her needing to say anything. Lukas eagerly nodded and she grinned, expecting him to give such an answer but happy to have the confirmation all the same.
