8/12/24 Update Regarding iOS App Store Changes

Today I received a notification from Patreon that starting November 2024, Apple is mandating that when anyone supports me through the Patreon mobile app on iOS, it is legally required that I give a cut of the money I earn to Apple if they want their app to operate on the store.
Now they actually gave me the option to charge patrons on iOS more than other platforms so I can keep earning the same amount, but I declined because that felt shitty for customers and might catch currently supporting patrons off guard. I could just ask you to support me on Windows instead to alleviate the issue, but I am more concerned about future patrons feeling cucked if their only platform to support is on their phone, and they have to pay more than others for the same thing.
I don't really care about the money, I just want a place where people can see more content, so I will be earning less if you support me on iOS, but you won't be charged any more or less. However, if that concerns you then I recommend paying through Windows, or if applicable, on Android instead, so these changes won't affect you and me. That's your choice tho!
Now if this affects iOS browsers like Safari, I don't know, but I would reckon so, and I'd recommend not testing it, I get frantic and skeptical over things like that.
