So someone tried to be a party pooper, but I'm doing what I can to get the patreon page back and running. Sadly this means erasing the current posts one by one which is quite heartbreaking and really sucks, but must be done. :T
HOWEVER.
I will not stop the project. I will be making changes to the future pages to further differentiate from a popular franchise's designs.
I've been meaning to do this for a while now and slowly begun already, but some similarities were still too similar so understandably, that landed me some trouble. Rather than taking it as a negative, I'll try turning it into a positive and have fun with it. :)
So what's next?
- I'll clear my page from all the problematic content.. All content..
- Make some options for character redesigns. Poll them.
- Finalize redesigns as an announcement thing.
- Edit the already inked pages with the characters in them ( oh lawd there's a lot of fanservice coming, bois )
- Will continue posting the comic as if nothing happened and will figure a place for all the full res pages and such to be uploaded to
- Will start a subscribestar page for funding as a safety net
How will all of this affect the story and characters?
Well.. I believe similar ideas are fair game. Not gonna stop having a universe that's a strange mix of real animals with superpowers and people with professions to keep them protected and taken care of. Legalized friendly fighting is a thing these companion critters do in nature anyway, just like those very naughty things they engage in. Aside from the fanservice and NSFW aspects, I also really want to continue exploring characters, ideas, humor, romance and wholesome stuff mixed in with bits of drama and self-discovery. I'm hoping to make all the characters likable and relatable enough so that everyone will still be able to enjoy the journey Kyra embarks on with her companions and the friends along the way. And the porn. All the porn that will be shoehorned in. :P
As far as future designs go, I think I'll take suggestions from the popular franchise but take far fetched liberties as to create a unique entity. Possibly think of hybridization or making them more magical looking or animal-like. I'd like to find a good balance to keep everyone happy, but I also want to ensure the comic can continue and that all parties are satisfied.
So yeah. Let me get my page unsuspended, figure out the new designs and get this stuff going!
Until then, we have two wholesome hoomans to keep you entertained (will do a double post also, cuz fuck it :Y ) and a brand new girl will be polled this week as well. Get hyped for a sweet and innocent female who's eager to learn all about lust, romance and devide her own preferred flavor of love. ;) ( And much more. It's so hard not to spoil. Fun stuff ahead. @v@ )

Luuuckily I wasn't completely braindead in the past n saved the full res stuff in case shit hit the fan. BUUT I was stupid n stressed enough to erase a LOT of PSDs and those cannot be recovered.. Already missed some thanks to failed uploads, but rn I only have a handful left and that kinda freaking blows ;-;'''

Been tryna take more liberties to make things more of a tongue in cheek parody, but it wasn't far enough from the source material. I really appreciate it! ~ Will still try to make silly references and the like, but I think it'd also be pretty rad to be more and more different from a pre-existing concept. o:

2021-07-20 20:26:04 +0000 UTCI've been trying to differentiate designs for a while now and make them 'not pokemon' just 'similar animals' to keep the crowd pleased. Sadly the comic started with pokemon and it hasn't changed enough since which is now causing problems. So, definitely no pokemon from now on, just animals with supernatural powers. At most I'll try to make designs similar to Lynn or perhaps like the cat duo Rita encountered who have some features but are their own separate species.
