Project Plan March
Added 2025-03-03 13:33:44 +0000 UTCAfter last month's 1.0 release, we are back to business as usual - and hopefully really the usual. :'D Since my vacation week in November, I have been pretty much in overdrive and I plan to return to a more normal dev cycle starting with this release. In particular, since I will be needing some energy next month to setup the Liora's Price of Dignity prototype.
But we talked about that enough last month, this month is a reguler SKA development month (except for the last week)! Let's take a look!

Week 1: My primary goal for this week is to tackle an issue that sadly didn't make the 1.0 release - changing Aura's text in lewd scenes (or other parts) where she mentions George or otherwise refers to her current boyfriend. I plan to cut those mentiones out and if appropriate replace them with Richard references. While each scene will be quick to update, the game's quite huge so I expect this to take up a good chunk of time x_X
Whatever is left-over, I plan to spend on adding some more complex wandering NPCs (I would like to add a farmer who can summon a slime in Riverflow, after curing it, to make the place more alive and add some more hints towards getting the Summon Slime spell and Morphs) and updating the Verdeaux NPCs lacking a Low Popularity variation for Roland.
Finally, you saw in the last post that I have continued my efforts on recruting a new pixel artist, hopefully I can on-board someone during this week to get them productive by the next.
Week 2: New lewd events! After a very long time, the Maid Job sequence at Arwin will be gaining a continuation. I won't be talking too much about it in this post as I would rather do so during the devlog post after I have implemented the basic setup.
What I can tell is that there will be in total 3 Maid Job events for 1.1.0 + Betrayal scene at the Festival + Maid Bad End scene.
Week 3: Then I will be moving on to a technical Feature, namely New Game Minus (NG-). It's basically the opposite of NG+; you spend score to get a modifier that will make the game harder but in exchange gain more Difficulty Score Modifier. The main one I want to implement this week would be an Ironman Mode. I have some other crazy things I would like to investigate like "Hidden Mode" Alicia, where she will auto-apply mental changes in secret, showing only the results. Might turn out too difficult or just not fun, so maybe it will be scratched I will just work on some simpler NG- items. But I think I definitely want to at least try out some more experimental approaches.
Week 4: For the last week we will be departing from the content development and focus back on the work I was doing last week, which is setting up the technical base for Liora's game. I'm quite behind on my schedule here due to the priority increase on the Modding Support, so I plan to spend this week to make the last set of improvements and then reintegrate it together with Trihan's translation work into the AuraMZ template project. Updating that to version 1.1 and using it as the base for the prototype work on Liora next month would be the primary goal of this week.
That's pretty much it from my side. On the freelancer side we have

Trihan has made significant progress towards enabling Translation support buuut we are not quite there yet. So chasing after that goal is definitely the biggest priority.
2D Art
For now our artist is progressing down the alternative Gyrau Leopard costume H-CG variations, hitting off one CG after the other. In general he has been making very good, fast and consistent progress in ticking off art items for 1.1.0. I believe to the point where we are ahead of schedule.
So there is a good chance we can add a couple more items to the 1.1.0 CG list, but we will need to see if he keeps up the current output speed.
Aaaand that's pretty much it! Expect the following SKA focused development months to structurally be very similar to this month.

Actually really loving to get more Arwin content. I really liked Arwin as first major opponent and kinda was sad that Aura had essentially no chance losing to him at all (since Maid training became so much bigger later on plus previous Arwin Maid sessions already played into the later maid training. So I am REALLY really hyped for this section, also additional Bad ends are always cool to witness.

2025-03-10 11:28:27 +0000 UTCWhile I might not play a "Hidden Alicia" run seriously, having no autonomy over what happens feels like it'd be more 'in-universe,' if that makes sense, since you play so much as Aura. Also, can't wait for the Maid Event stuff! Can't believe it's only a few weeks away at this point! (Even if it's only the first ((new)) scene and not the bad ends part)

2025-03-03 17:40:47 +0000 UTCAlso, if we get the Hidden Alicia Mode, will her actions in the Mental World be shown or not? Personally, despite there being story elements in there, I'd like it if we aren't shown and instead we see Aura slowly changing and the clock ticking.
