Project Plan April
Added 2025-04-03 00:28:21 +0000 UTCFirst development month for the new game - Liora's Price of Dignity! It's a new and fresh project, so there's a lot of infrastructure to setup. Also since the project is new, there is of course not just implementation but also a lot of planning work to do. So my plans as they are now may still change quite a bit until things have settled in.
Let's take a look on what's on the dev menu for the first month of Liora's game.

Week 1: We have prepared a lot of reusable infrastructure in the form of our RPGMaker framework AuraMZ. I released the 1.1 update for that on Monday so that I could use it as a base for Liora. As for Liora, the goal for this week is to setup of the rough gameplay loop similar to Aura. Entering dungeons, day ends, adjusing our plugin parameters, etc.
Since it's already soon Friday I will postpone further talk on the details to the devlog post.
Week 2: I usually focus on first setting up mechanics, then obstacles which require the systems to solve and then corrupt options to make the process easier. If Week 1 is the base setup of the base mechanics and obstacles, then this week is the setup of the base corruption mechanic - The heart of the game, the Contract System. My goal this week is to set up a very basic version and have some dummy negotiations to get some first clauses.
Week 3: And then in week 3, I plan to work on the more extended parts of the gameplay loop such as modeling the Disease and its progress for Rean, adding some stubs for triggerable lewd content (but without any real content yet! It's just a prototype after all.) and other elements to tie things a bit together.
Week 4: With a bit of luck, we will have something remotely playable for the first prototype in week 4. Note that it's whitebox style, so pretty much all dialogue will be missing so I assume nobody will have a clue as to how things work lol. Nevertheless, I think this could be a good point to work towards the first prerelease build. Setting up the deployment, adding some minimum amount of dialogue so that it's not all completely cryptic, will be the goal of this week.
The devlog post and build will probably happen a bit before Friday, as I want to spend the rest of the week starting the search for an artist for the game.
Aaaaand that's pretty much the plan for the month. Please keep in mind that this is a whitebox prototype, so pretty much everything is a placeholder.
