Pandora of Fantasy And Reality Chapter 100

Prologue

The World of Lust.

It was the frontline within the virtual world.

The ground under the cloudy sky was parched with withered trees growing only here and there.

The city was dyed with black and grey colors. There were graffiti painted everywhere.

Flying around at the sky were incubus monsters that only existed in the World of Lust.

In that frontline.

A lot of guilds were attacking the capital where the boss that was ruling over the World of Lust was residing.

The players gathered people, led NPCs, and brought out siege weapons to launch attack on the capital.

Fire ball, water ball, lightning, magic was fired one after another. But the wall that was protecting the capital wasn’t harmed.

In game term, the players were unable to whittle down the wall’s endurance completely.

Monsters also sallied out from the Capital of Lust. Attacks also rained down on the players from the city’s defensive weapons.

It was a battlefield where both sides launched their offense and  defense back and forth. It was truly befitting to be called a fierce  battle.

However, the voices of the players screamed out――.

「Noooooo! Melting! All my paid items are melting downnnnn!」

「I died! Yes, died! I’m hit with consecutive death penalty with thissss!」

「Ah, crap! I don’t remember if I have turned off my stove before coming here.」

The players and the World of Lust.

There was a lacking tension in the voices for an all-out war between two such giant factions.

The guild “Ponsuke and His Happy-Go-Lucky Friends” were also the same.

The orc player Ponsuke and others attacked the city’s wall with the  siege weapon that they had prepared. They were fighting against the  monsters that came attacking to destroy their siege weapon.

Ponsuke and co were participating in the clearing, even so they weren’t counted as a top group.

Right now they only had the role of attacking from the rear with their trivial damage.

「Oi, who the hell told to use the bomb!」

「Our allies are blown uppppp!」

「Find that slave driver bastard Lighter!」

The guild members who had increased compared to before were searching  for the Lighter, a player who was using an avatar of small gnome.

Ponsuke faced the horned incubus that attacked his comrades. He cut it down with his great sword and then he looked around.

「……I can’t believe it.」

The bomb that was set on the siege weapon was launched and hit the wall that was protecting the Capital of Lust. That was fine.

But, it produced a great blast that also hit the players who were about to enter inside.

Protest messages flooded Ponsuke.

『You guys again!』

『if you want to pick a fight it’s death match!』

『Enough screwing around you guys!』

The protests came from the players who clung on the wall to climb up. Ponsuke hurriedly sent apology messages to them.

It wasn’t something that he should do while in the middle of heavy  battle, but it couldn’t be helped for the sake of smooth communication.

Rather, it was Ponsuke’s guild that was at fault so there was no other option than apologizing.

「LIGHTERRRRR!」

Ponsuke was furious, but Lighter himself came to him in indignation while protesting.

Lighter was swinging around a knife that suited his small body while glaring at his surrounding angrily.

Then, near the siege weapon――an object with shape of catapult, there  were the orcs sighing while loading up stones and bombs and the like on  it.

The number of the orcs had increased to twelve. They seemed to be unmotivated.

The leader Prey pulled the lever mechanically.

「……Haa, there isn’t enough whipping.」

The rock that was loaded on the catapult flew.

It hit the wall, which was good and all, but it also impacted the players that were trying to climb.

Ponsuke was dumbfounded seeing that sight.

They were in the middle of a tense city assault.

It wasn’t a situation where they could give the orcs a baeting. And this was the result of leaving them alone.

The newcomer orcs were complaining.

「Shit-! Where are we going to receive our beating.」

「I want to get tied up.」

「This great one wanted to get glared scornfully.」

「I see that everyone here is truly deviant. I myself want to get stomped by her majesty with high heel gozaru.」

The complaining message calls that kept ringing one after another made the girls took action.

Mariela and Alfie took the lead and started giving the orcs a beating.

Anri who was wearing boots with thick sole kicked an orc’s face.

「Shut up you piggg!」

The orc was sent flying, but the other orcs who saw that cheered.

「HYAAAAA! Anri-chan’s kick came out!」

「I want one on my solar plexus ssu!」

「Curse me! Curse me more!」

Sierra was sending a cold gaze at the orc group.

「……Filthy」

Some orcs collapsed from that. They were shivering with a look of ecstasy. They were already beyond help.

Ponsuke pressed his hand on his head.

(Why is there no proper player in our guild?)

Later on their guild got put inside kangaroo court for doing  something outrageous in the middle of chaotic battle like launching  their own allies as projectile.

Ponsuke’s shoulders dropped with dejection.

「Even though we finally can join with the clearing battle」

It was almost one year since he started playing the game.

Ponsuke too had finally arrived at the frontline, but they were  completely useless since the first day and only did pointless actions.

It all started several days ago.

This began when Ponsuke――Akito got invited into the clearing battle in the real world.

「Clearing battle?」

In the classroom.

Akito was talking with his friend Riku. He asked back in respond to Riku’s suggestion.

「Why are you looking puzzled huh? You guy too have gathered people  and finally can come to the frontline right? Then it will be good if you  try joining the clearing battle.」

A year almost passed since Riku invited him to Pandora.

It could be said that Akito had finally reached the same level with his friend.

「No, but our members are still not as stoic as the clearing group. I still want some more time to prepare.」

They were just a group that was a gathering of players who wanted to enjoy the game.

To be more accurate, their group was aiming to join the clearing  group, but they also wanted to enjoy the game enough at the same time.

They weren’t a serious group.

Riku looked slightly exasperated.

「When are you going to join the clearing if you’re like that? You’re  just going to support from behind by firing siege weapon anyway. It’s  something that even you guys can do, so just join in already right now.」

Akito nodded hearing what his friend said. What Riku said was reasonable.

「Got it. We’re going to prepare. But, won’t we be a bother if we join in?」

Riku shook his head.

「It’ll be a big help if your guild just help us normally. It’s not  like we’re demanding you guys to help with a lot of paid items. It’ll be  enough if you just support from the back. You guys will go to the front  only after the wall is destroyed.」

There were stages to the clearing battle.

First they took quest for finding the capital.

After that they prepared for siege battle and started the war. After  the wall was destroyed, the players would enter the city and fought  monsters.

The top group would go into the castle, fought the boss there, and if  they won then it would be considered as victory for the players.

Akito got an imagination after he heard that.

「I want to try breaching the castle and fight the boss one day.」

Riku laughed weakly.

「I won’t say it’s impossible, but that will be hard. In fact, the  clearing battle this time will be our third time. After all the clearing  group had gathered information and finished remaking their avatars.」

The clearing group worked out the optimal method to fight the boss and carried it out.

Both Riku and Akito didn’t have the willpower to go that far.

Or rather than not having the willpower, it was impossible for them  to abandon their avatar because they had gotten attached to it.

「The clearing group is really insane.」

「Those guys are absolutely crazy.」

Akito and Riku laughed.

Then Riku changed the topic.

「More importantly, it’ll be summer break soon. What are you going to do? Are you planning to spend it working part-time again?」

Riku continued the topic.

「Hahaha, there’s no way it’s like that. ……M-my acquaintance from  part-time work and me are thinking of going to sea to hit on girls  there.」

Akito made a forced laugh and spewed some random lie.

The truth was he got invited to a villa by Maya, then he also talked to Yakumo about it.

It wasn’t like they were lovers, but he feared what other boys would  do to him if he said here that he would go to sea with girls.

Riku continued talking in small voice.

Akito tilted his head hearing about the large scale update.

Until now large scale update mostly only happened after a world was  liberated. In other words, it would be after the clearing finished.

Training tools were littering her surrounding.

Maya looked at the number that the weighing machine showed and inputted the data into her smartphone.

「……Fumu, at this rate I’ll be able to slim down a bit more than my current objective.」

The reason she was silently training by herself was in order to obtain a lean body for the summer.

She was doing her training every day but…….even so, there was a rival near the person who she wanted to make turning toward her.

「I won’t lose to that woman no matter what.」

Maya didn’t cut corner even with her health management, but she was  in a diligent state in order to win against her rival Yakumo during  summer.

But in the real world, a battle to capture Akito was going to begin.
