Pandora of Fantasy And Reality Chapter 109

Rain Falling――

The rental car that was rented at the resort area was cheap and affordable for even student.

Akito inserted his license behind the handle.

With that the vehicle could ascertain who was driving in real time.

The self-driving system activated and Akito set up the destination.

「Err……the route is going around the local tourist attraction. That should be fine I think?」

Yakumo was sitting on the passenger seat.

She said that she was using cream to block UV rays, but she was also wearing cosmetic lightly.

「We aren’t locals, so it’s better to leave it to the system at this situation. Where are we going to eat for lunch?」

Akito checked and found an area where restaurants were grouped up in this tourist area.

The car navigator was displaying various information.

「There’s a restaurant with famous omelet rice.」

「We’re in vacation, so how about going for something more extravagant. Look, this one might be good.」

Yakumo selected a restaurant that was intended for lovers rather than family. Akito agreed to that easily.

「Understood. I’ll make reservation there.」

He made a reservation for three people.

Then the screen showed that the reservation had been created.

「Looks like it’s a restaurant of seafood pizza. I wonder if they are using natural ingredients there.」

Akito tilted his head when Yakumo said that.

The car started moving even though he wasn’t holding the steering  wheel. It moved out of the parking lot and started running on the road.

「I wonder.」

The polluted sea.

Even if sea bathing was possible in this area, it was something rare to be able to eat something like natural fish.

Setting that aside, there was one expressionless person watching Akito and Yakumo having such delightful conversation.

It was Maya.

She wasn’t doing anything at the second day because of her promise with Yakumo.

However, she was unable to hide her irritation because of what Yakumo did yesterday.

Akito looked back at the back seat.

「President――Ichinose-san, are you also fine with that?」

Maya became all smile at the same time when Akito turned around. She waved her hand cheerfully.

「Yep, that’s alright. I rarely ate pizza so I’m looking forward to it.」

Akito felt relieved seeing Maya so cheerful.

The rearview mirror wasn’t showing the back seat due to the developed technology.

Because of that he didn’t see Maya’s previous expression.

But, Yakumo made a smug expression when she looked behind. It made Maya felt extremely irritated.

Akito had fun with the driving.

He was enjoying the drive that was filled with a vortex of dark and muddy emotions between the two girls.

He was a Pandora’s player and belonged to the guild “Ponsuke and His Happy-Go-Lucky Friends”.

His avatar’s name was [Blaze].

Usually he lived in a luxurious mansion and many of his acquaintances were also people of the same level.

He came to this resort area in order to enjoy his short summer vacation.

Also because staying in a hotel here would allow him to get Pandora’s  rare item. He ended up staying in high class hotel with his friends.

There were six of them but, one of them was female.

She was a black haired girl wearing glasses. She looked like a librarian type.

She was with Naoto who was being surrounded by elites who were called as winners in life.

「U-umm, err……is it alright for someone like me to be here?」

When they held an offline meeting, one of them turned out to be a woman.

As expected the other five panicked, but there Blaze who was also their leader in game took charge.

「This is offline meeting so you don’t need to mind it. More importantly what should we do today?」

The other men were also acting considerate to the only woman among  them, but none of them looked like they were having an eye on her.

Elites like them would have women swarming around them even if they did nothing.

They were relaxing in the hotel’s lobby when a trio of women with flashy appearance approached them.

「Excuse me~, the three of us come here to have fun. Do you guys want to go to sea together with us?」

It was a reverse pick up.

The women had seen the clothes, shoes, watches and other accessories  that Naoto and others were wearing and concluded that they were rich.

They were smirking seeing that the only woman among the five men was just a plain woman.

They were better compared to her.

They were thinking like that but…….

「No, we already had fun at sea yesterday.」

「Nine people in a group is a bit much.」

「Want to go to the aquarium? I want to watch the dolphin show there.」

The men were saying how they preferred watching dolphin show rather than women in swimsuit.

The glasses woman was also nodding.

「Dolphin show is nice! I never see one in the flesh.」

The men were also getting excited.

「Righto!」

「Penguin is also great. Let’s go watch the penguin show too.」

「For lunch let’s go eat outside.」

Their talk concluded like that. Then Naoto apologized to the trio of flashy women and left that place.

「Sorry, we’re going to the aquarium. I hope you three can enjoy the sea with other people.」

The six left the lobby while discussing whether they should rent a car or walk.

The three women who were left behind looked astounded.

「W-what’s with those guys!」

「The high school boy from yesterday would still be better than them!」

「No, that one is just out. I got a bad feeling from him for some reason.」

That trio was the women who Akito tried to hit on yesterday.

Akito and others had finished lunch and now they were on their way back from the aquarium.

They had enjoyed the dolphin and penguin shows there. Now they were going back to hotel.

「That was really fun!」

Both Yakumo and Maya were chuckling seeing Akito acting so excited.

「You bought three or four key chains there didn’t you? Are you going to give them to someone?」

Yakumo asked that question. Akito scratched his head in respond.

「They are souvenirs for my family. I sent them a video and they said that they wanted one.」

Most family had a lot of children.

Akito too wasn’t an only child, so he bought souvenirs for his siblings.

Maya fell into thought for a bit.

「Do you have older sibling?」

Akito shook his head.

「I’m the oldest one, so I’m always the giver for this kind of thing.」

Akito grumbled why he didn’t have any big brother or sister, but Maya reproached him for that.

「There are also a lot of problems with having older sibling you know?」

They were having fun talking like that when Yakumo cut in.

Akito’s conversation with Maya got interrupted.

「More importantly we still have time but, what are we going to do  after this? It’s too bad that there are much to see around here because  this place hasn’t opened for long.」

Perhaps if there was a local nearby they could ask to be shown  around, but they had finished going around the known places inside this  tourist area.

Akito looked outside the window of the running car.

「The sky look cloudy, we can play at hotel――ah, it’s raining.」

It rained while they were having such talk.

The rain was falling hard with large drops of water.

Yakumo looked at the opposite side.

The sea was there but――.

「Hey, wait. There are children still on boat there.」

Yakumo found a boat with children on it under this stormy weather.

The distance was really far. Even Akito and Maya wouldn’t notice that  there were children on the boat if they didn’t lean closer.

Akito hurriedly switched the car’s mode into manual driving and directed it toward the boat.

Inside a hut that was for life saver.

Akito who rushed out in order to save the children was getting surrounded by life savers and getting scolded.

「Do you understand what you have done!?」

「Do you know that you were putting your own life in danger?」

「At that kind of situation you should report it first.」

Yakumo accidentally saw the children and Akito rushed out to save them. After that it became a big commotion.

Fortunately the wave in the sea hadn’t gotten that big so the children were saved, but what he did was dangerous.

「I-I’m sorry.」

Watching Akito getting scolded like that was Yakumo and Maya――and others.

The other people who also saw the children’s boat drifting away  toward the open sea were gathering. Yumi and Reona were also among them.

The two were looking exasperated.

「I didn’t expect that Naruse-kun is also here.」

Reona looked relieved.

「He would die if he made a mistake. He has an overinflated self-confidence just because he is exercising daily.」

Akito who was being scolded had a thought while his body was wrapped in blanket.

Akito judged that he could make it in time in such condition. That judgment could be said as correct.

In the first place the rescued children were getting on the boat without telling their parents.

Normally the boat wouldn’t be rented if there wasn’t any adult accompanying them, but it was noticed too late.

The children got admonished and their parents came to pick them up,  but Akito who rescued them was met with scolding although they also  praised him.

Naoto and his group who also came running to this spot were whispering to each other.

「In the first place it was the life savers who noticed it too late.」

「No, but what he did is still dangerous.」

「It’s better for him to get scolded here. He’s still in high school  right? He should learn now rather than getting carried away later on.」

Naoto cautioned his friends.

「You guys, be a bit quiet.」

The station had quite a lot of space, but it was packed full with people.

The tall Chloe explained about Akito to Kanaho and Anri.

Yakumo and Maya got surprised hearing that.

「What do you mean that he hit on you!?」

Akito averted his gaze from the two girls. And then he started to get cold sweat.

The middle school trio also came in their swimsuit. Kira was wearing a  largish T-shirt. Underneath it a thin and wet female swimsuit could be  seen.

「So Nii-chan was also hitting on girls.」

Yukine was looking at Akito with a cold gaze.

「……You’re the worst, Naruse-senpai.」

Nanami looked troubled.

「B-but, Akito-san surely has his reasons.」

Kira tilted his head.

「What kind of reason it could be behind someone coming to the beach with girl and yet hitting on other girl?」

Everyone there was looking at Akito with a suspecting gaze.

And then one of the life savers said,

「Or rather, can everyone get out of her already?」

The station became too cramped with too many people coming in. Akito and co got chased out after that.

Inside the hotel room.

Akito got interrogated by the two and he talked about yesterday.

「……Actually I had been wanting to try hitting on girls. I wanted experience it at least once as summer memory.」

Maya was folding her arms.

「That was your reason for hitting on girls? Or perhaps, you also planned to even further than that I wonder?」

Akito gave up lying because it would be pointless and spoke honestly.

「……If there was a chance then I planned to aim further ahead.」

Yakumo sighed.

She was putting her hands on her waist and stood with her legs opened  as wide as her shoulder width. That pose showed that she was angry.

「You would simply go hitting on girls even though we’re also with you?」

Akito lowered his head.

He kneeled on the floor and did dogeza.

「My deepest apologies! But, I was lonely by myself yesterday.  Besides, I thought, that I mustn’t look at you two in that kind of  light.」

Yakumo reacted with a jerk hearing Akito’s reply.

「In that kind of light?」

Akito expressed his feeling.

「You two are my acquaintances IRL and my friends in game after all. I  don’t want our relationship to break down……because, I think it will  also be a bother for you two.」

Akito was really pathetic making excuse with a small voice like that,  but the eyes of both Yakumo and Maya glinted for an instant. Those eyes  were like predator that had found their prey and prepared to lunge.

Akito too felt a chill running through his spine for an instant.

But, he thought that it was just his imagination.

「There is also not that many chance for me to come to the beach, so I  didn’t want to let go of the chance. I’m really really sorry!」

Akito apologized. The two sighed while helping him to stand from both sides and brought him to sit on the sofa.

Both Yakumo and Maya were smiling.

「You idiot. It’s not like we hate you or anything.」

「That’s right. We won’t stay with someone we hate in the same hotel room.」

Akito felt moved.

「Y-you two……will forgive someone as horrible as me?」

Yakumo was older than him. She was his senior so she treated him like a big sister.

「Well, boy will always do stupid thing. But, there won’t be next time okay?」

Maya was also chuckling.

「Besides, we can’t possibly keep criticizing you after hearing how you failed and felt down.」

The embarrassed Akito was truly happy by the two’s kindness.

(I’m really blessed with good friends.)

The outside was already turning dark when he realized.

Yakumo shrugged.

「We won’t get much chance coming to a place like this, so let’s have  fun while we can. Come on, we’re going for dinner so you should  prepare.」

Yakumo told Akito to change his clothes. She really felt like a kind big sister.

Maya smiled slightly mischievously.

「Tell us about all your failures later.」

Akito smiled wryly and headed into his bedroom.

「Spare me that. It was really harsh that time.」

He said that and entered his bedroom before closing the door――.

――Yakumo and Maya made guts pose.

「Him trying to hit on girls means that he want a girlfriend!」

「Besides him being considerate to us mean that at the very least he is conscious of us!」

A part of their feeling also couldn’t forgive Akito because he tried  to hit on other girls despite coming to this place with them.

But, his attempt resulted in failure.

Depending on how they saw it, this time was also a chance to easily  make him fall for them by treating him kindly while he was feeling hurt  from his failed attempts.

The two were thinking of how they should make use of this chance.

How should they steal the march on the other and grasped this  chance……the two fell silent before they both smiled and looked at each  other.

However, the smiles didn’t reach their eyes.

Yakumo spoke.

「You remember your promise yesterday right?」

Maya brushed up her hair.

「Promise? You’re saying that after putting drug into the drinks like that?」

A fierce battle between women was going to start again outside of Akito’s knowledge in the second day.
