Gunnerkrigg Court Chapter 1: The Shadow and The Robot

I really enjoyed the video but I have to agree with everyone else that hearing some more "behind the scenes" stuff would be good. I'd like there to be SOME summary though just because it can be hard to think back to what each chapter was about.

I didn't realize there was going to be a video for each chapter, this is super exciting! It's wonderful to hear some of the thought process behind what went into the comic, although as some of the others said I'd love to hear more. (Especially about the tic tocs, I remember being fascinated by them right away.) I think you did a really great job establishing tone and humor right from the get go.

I agree on wanting to hear more but I also understand it can become a bit much maybe especially since I think 5-10min per chapter is a good length... So maybe later what inspiration you had like the reference to Annan Waters song, what ideas did you abandon like the "jerk" and maybe why, why anything, and so on... :-) Maybe a video per book or something with extra extra commentary, do as you want I'll probably keep on throwing money on you anyway :-) It is however of to a great start! Eagerly waiting for more!

Hi Tom! Great video! Can I make a suggestion for future videos? I'd personally like to hear a little more anecdotal stuff about the specific chapters or characters you're talking about. This video had a lot of narration of what was going on, and I feel like for super fans of your comic (like the ones who would support a Patreon), we already know that stuff. What we don't know is where the idea for shadow and robot came in the first place, or maybe a slight side story of what was going on with you when you first started drawing the comic, etc. I loved the note about the Annan Waters/song thing, that was cool. Anyway... just a suggestion... feel free to take it or leave it. I'll still be watching every one of these videos regardless :).

What's the full resolution of the video? Currently I can only watch 480p, but it may be so that the video is still processing.
