I really enjoy the show and I'm just ok with the ride. I have the feeling they know what they are doing. I just hope they will be able to tell the whole story before the show ends.
A lot has been said in the comments and in the video already so I will just speak about other things ^^
I expressed my doubts about Burt in the last episode but it's even clearer for me now that he still works with Lumon. How Drummond could have known Irv wasn't gonna be in his home this particular evening ? Burt probably invited Irv just so Drummond could search his home. And Burt tried too hard to say that Fields had too much to drink and that was the reason he said he worked with Lumon for 20 years. I don't think Burt had anything to do with severance. I just think he was already working for Lumon before severance was invented and became a severed employee at one point. He could still be working for them or at least still be loyal to them.
Concerning the Chinese restaurant scene between Mark and Helena, I think Mark was pretending to flirt because I don't feel him to be in the mood to flirt with anybody right now. He is too focused on Gemma for that. I believe he was pretending to flirt with Helena because he didn't trust her (for good reasons). And when he stormed out from the restaurant, deciding to speed up the reintegration process, only two letters of the restaurant's name are lighted: FU. It could be a message to imply that Mark is ready to tell Lumon that they can go f*** themselves (remember the song in season 1: F.U. Lumon).
Another little detail I find amusing (sort of). They told Mark and Devon that Cobel had an obsession with him and tried to pursue both Mark innie and outie to form sort of a throuple. Finally it is what Helena was doing in this episode. She already slept with one version of him and now she is flirting with the other. It is quite ironic that the invented excuse they came up with to explain Cobel actions sort of became true later on with someone else in charge at Lumon.
Great video as always and I'm eager to see the next one. Take care of yourself.

I bingewatched season 2, so the season for me felt like one long story arc - watching these reactions I'm definitely agreeing with a lot of your criticisms about the pacing of the mystery.
