Incase you forget, otto did mention in S1 that he has the ability to talk to animals. He understands what Patrasche was saying. Lol. For the part where Echidna remove the trial from Subaru is because i think she’s sulking because Subaru don’t want to form a contract with her. 😂

Looks like your mod filled you in on most of episode 13, so I’ll mention some other things you may or may not know! first off, episode 11. I think one of the coolest hints towards betty’s connection to Echidna are her (betty’s) butterfly eyes. Echidna has had the butterfly motif from square one, and I find it crazy that the biggest hint is so blatantly in her design. Good stuff. Next, with maylie- the first season mentioned that one of the children went missing and that the villiagers had not recognized her. She’s also the one who had the puppy every time it bit Subaru. Dat foreshadowing! Next, Emilia. It was stated in the LN that part of the reason she went crazy was because once she was isolated, she repeatedly took the trial over and over again to get the villiagers approval and save them. But with no one to support her (since puck was gone) she lost her mind. You’ve seen what just one attempt does to her, imagine multiple try’s, and since her past involves loneliness given the information in the OVA, it makes sense how it’d effect her so much.. Oh and if you didn’t catch the part about the snow, it’s magic and made of Mana, so the bunnies will appear as a result of whenever Rosewall decided to create the snow. Seems like a side effect and not something planned obviously. final point on the episode. There was a pretty sizeable scene cut out that had Subaru escape the rabbits using his powers as the apostle of greed to have the ryuzu clones protect him until they were almost all dead. That’s how he made it to Emilia. And he did it just so he could see her one last time after his mind was so withered. Oh and I think you noticed, but Rosewall does NOT know Subaru returns when he dies. Only that he has the ability to return. That’s part of the reason he killed ram, to “force” Subaru to “use” his authority. Interesting that the book doesn’t tell everything. episode 12: The big thing is that Echidna’s speech was massively longer in the LN, and I recommend trying to find it. It’s fun lol. But also, Sekmet, the witch of sloth was the “mediator” of the tea part because she is by far the most powerful witch other than satella. The LN said she could take on the other 5 witches by herself. And finally, the anime kinda cut part of Camilla’s personality. She’s timid and nice like the anime showed, but if you ever insult her ego she becomes super cold and gives out massive murder vibes. It’s odd that they left it out. And it’s of note that she wasn’t lying to Subaru when she said that he only saw Rem because that’s “what he wanted to see”. That’s just part of how her authority works. Makes her look like someone you love and then apparently lets you hear what you need, but you also start to die if you get too close to her. Most of the episode 13 stuff you already know. But I just want to point out that it’s heavily implied that a Rosewall hired Elsa and Meylie in season 1 as well, meaning he orchestrated basically all of arc 1 and arc 2. And that basically makes the save the mansion mission in this arc, taking on the challenges of the first 2 arcs simultaneously while dealing with all the other shit. Pretty crazy. This all Makes me wonder, in arc 2, if Rosewall just told Meylie “hey chill in this villiage and make sure your demon puppy bites my mansion people”. Must have been an odd order lol

Yeah I’ve talked about this missing info with one of my mods.. it really seems like key/important information and dialogues to show.. so it sucks they weren’t included, but I guess due to time constraints as well

The "reason" why Satella says "You gave me everything" was cut in the anime so here is the dialogue if you're interested, otherwise ignore everything below: [Satella: I, love you. ――Because you gave me light. Because you… you gave me everything] [Subaru: ――――] Subaru couldn’t recall doing a single thing that Satella had whispered. He had no part in it, it had nothing to do with him. Whether it was meeting Satella, trading words with her, or sharing a single feeling of warmth. Everything she said had been the product of her delusions. The arrayed, empty fantasies of a woman crazed with longing. That was how it should be. And yet, “Natsuki Subaru” remembered. [Subaru: Why is this…… inside me, what is this? I don’t want this feeling. Don’t try to bind me… with memories that can’t exist…… you… you… I…… tk] ~~~~ Also, another thing that was cut from the novel (just after Satella appears at the beginning of the episode): [Camilla: “Envy” is, everyone’s, enemy……that’s… right, but, that thing… and, her……are, different, you know?] [Subaru: ……what’s that supposed to mean? What’re you guys……] [Sekhmet: As long as we don’t know… which one that thing over there is, huu… it’s not just that we don’t want to… it’d also be unreasonable… haa…] [Subaru: Which… one……?] Sekhmet followed up with her explanation. But hearing it only threw Subaru into even further disarray. What on earth were they talking about? Yet, the answer came from a different direction. Taking a step forward, Minerva moved closer to the Witch of Envy. She spread out her arms, assuming a posture of nonresistance, and asked the Witch of Envy, [Minerva: ――Are you the Witch of Envy? Yes one of my mods explained this to me which is interesting.. I know second part is about to go crazy!

As for satella they didn’t really explain in the anime but apparently there’s satella and the witch of envy. So like a split personality I guess, she seemed nice was because she was satella at the time. Can’t wait for the second part and your reactions🙌🏾
