tbh I don't think Gintama is truly finished. Its the exact form of entertainment the world truly needs right now and its doing very well. Gorilla sensei has probably realized this too.

As a note, the actor they put in the birthday party (in the show he is called Shunnoske Oguri, but his real name is Shun Oguri) became the actor for Gintoki in the live action movies XD And yes, this show is insanely relatable, even just the crew being absolute idiots is relatable, especially when you and your friends also are dysfunctional like them XD
