2021-05-08 19:17:36 +0000 UTCThat is something I love about Gintama, few of the villains in this show are what I would consider "villains," they are just antagonistic and when you learn their backstories, it all makes sense. If you ever rewatch this show, this arc will hit different, you do learn more about Gintoki's past later, and this arc is just soooooo well done to start the set up for those future arcs.

He was eventually killed by his own lord, who perceived him to be too dangerous a man to let live
