The pool episode is one of my favorite "idiots being idiots" episodes, as well as a great shogun episode. Anytime you see matsuduria, you should start wondering where the shogun is XD the crab episode just proves how strategic Gintoki really is, it's insanity.

Ok, episode 218 surprisingly has a lot of References.
Infodump:
Episode 218:
-The Sengoku period, or Warring states period was the time in Japan from 1467-1615 in which the entire country was at war with itself, with multiple factions fighting for control
-Kagura’s 1st disguise: “Daigoro” is a reference to the manga “Lone Wolf and Cub,” about a disgraced samurai and his 3-year old child who try to get revenge on those who wronged them.
-her 2nd disguise is a ninja of Iga. Iga is a village in Japan that is known as the birthplace of Ninjutsu. It produced many ninja, including Hattori Hanzo (in the show, Zenzo). The Tokugawa clan ended the warring states period and became the shogun family in part because they hired Iga ninja to serve as mercenaries for them.
-Kagura’s final disguise is a parody of the villain of the Ghibli movie “Castle in the Sky,” often abbreviated to “Laputa” (the name of said castle), named “Romuska Palo Ur Laputa.”
-Nobita and Gian are 2 characters in Doraemon that are rivals, but when they work together, they are incredible.
-Lastly, the ending may be a reference to the fact that: The Japanese DO prefer imitation crab to real crab, and almost every Japanese snack food has an artificial “crab flavored” variant.
