Kehre's Feathers are Pretty
Added 2022-02-10 10:52:26 +0000 UTCAbstract backgrounds are so much more my jam than I thought. When you go over the top just a little, it's hella fun. And going over the top in earnest? Heck ye. In this picture in particular, I think I discovered the joy of not giving a damn about the leaves. They began as an attempt at quick, simplified foliage -- and now look at them! Some of them are b l u e rectangles. I really didn't give a damn, huh! It was so fun too. In the future, I want to approach Klimt a little more.

I am curious about what I could do with ornamentation, and I guess Kehre's plumage reminded me of the fact that realism aint my hubby, that I can have flings all over. Wait and see, wait and see :> I love Seyorrols' art for a reason!

Nix you are too good to me for commenting on here. But I totally neglected to respond! I thank theee most kindlyyyyy. I think the reason for why it works is that I was using colours inspired from my first attempts at realistic leaves, and then realizing that that would take too long to paint.
