New year, new look

Heyo everyone,

Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy implementing some changes within our company. As some of you may know, we not only manage two Patreon pages but also take on multiple commissions every month for writers, game producers, and passionate DMs.

Our goal has always been to focus more on Patreon, and little by little, we’re moving in that direction thanks to your support.

To hopefully reach our goal faster, we’ve given our website https://danielsmaps.com/ a small makeover. It now features not only our portfolio for clients but also information about our Patreon.

For the website, we needed new icons, and as you may have noticed, we’ve updated the tier icons on our Patreon as well.

In addition to the icon updates, there are a few more changes to share. As you may have noticed over the past two months, we’ve been posting not three but four maps each month. This will now become the standard. Additionally, when time allows, we plan to post a fifth map in months with a fifth week.

This means a lot more content for you! :D

But the changes don’t stop there. We’ve noticed that downloading the maps can sometimes be a bit confusing. To make things easier, we’ll now be hosting the maps on Dropbox. This way, you won’t have to download multiple zip files; instead, you’ll find all the maps neatly organized in one folder. This will be the case for every map that is posted from now on. If you run into any issues, feel free to send us a message, and we’ll gladly assist you!

Alongside this exciting news, we also have some less fun news. In October 2023, we decided to focus Daniels Maps solely on world/town maps and created a separate Patreon for Battlemaps. However, we’ve decided to let that go. It takes up a lot of time and effort, and unfortunately, it simply isn’t sustainable for us.

As a result, we’ve decided to discontinue Daniels Battlemaps starting in March. We’ll close it out on a high note with some awesome maps in February, but after that, we’ll focus solely on this page.

We hope you’re just as excited about these changes as we are and understand the reasoning behind our decisions.
