288. Sea God's Will

“Mom, Sister,” Qian Renjue’s face softened as he looked at the mother and daughter before him.

“Jue, how did it go? Were you successful?” Bibi Dong asked from his left, holding his arm, her face full of concern.

Qian Renxue, on his right, looked on with curiosity.

“I’m now a level 75 Spirit Saint,” Qian Renjue said softly, looking at the two women standing beside him.

“That’s wonderful!” Bibi Dong’s face lit up with joy, and she tiptoed up to give him a light kiss on his cheek.

“Hmph! You’ve even surpassed your sister,” Qian Renxue muttered with a smile, clearly pleased. The rapid increase in his level made it evident—her beloved little brother had obtained a 100,000-year spirit ring.

Qian Renjue held both their hands, smiling. “From now on, when I use my martial soul, I won’t be cold or distant toward you, Mom, or Sister.”

“Hm?” Both Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong were momentarily stunned, then their eyes filled with delight.

“You mean the side effects of your martial soul have lessened?”

“Yes, though the effects still persist when I fully activate it,” Qian Renjue nodded. After advancing to the Spirit Saint level, his control over his innate domain and martial soul had greatly increased.

He could now better contain its power without interference, though it was still inevitable when using it to its full extent.

“That’s alright, as long as you won’t get angry with your sister or make us unhappy,” Qian Renxue said with a content smile, clearly relieved.

Bibi Dong nodded gently, adding, “Xiao Xue is right. That’s already a great improvement.”

“Alright, Jue,” Bibi Dong said, brushing a strand of golden hair from his face. “Why don’t you go take a hot bath first? When Nana returns, we’ll start dinner.”

“Alright.”

“Mom will have clothes ready for you,” she added.

“Thank you, Mom.” Bibi Dong led him toward the bedroom.

“Jue, let me dry your hair afterward as a reward for surpassing me!” Qian Renxue teased, summoning a flame in her hand as she followed playfully.

“Xiao Xue, don’t start any fires in the house!” Bibi Dong warned.

“Yes, please, Sister, I don’t want to end up bald.”

“Even if that happens, mom and me won’t mind.”

“Although, if you do go bald...Mom might mind a little.”

After becoming a Spirit Saint, Qian Renjue served as acting Pope in the Pope’s Palace for two days, taking the time to rest and handle accumulated affairs.

When his tasks were done, he returned the crown to Bibi Dong and happily relinquished his position.

Under a warm sun at the mountain’s peak, Qian Renxue and her brother followed Qian Daoliu up towards the Douluo Hall, set at the very top of the mountain behind the Worship Hall.

Compared to the Pope’s Palace, the Douluo Hall was slightly smaller, but it was a sacred site, honoring all the Titled Douluo.

Only the Pope could enter once a year for rituals, and legend said the hall existed even before the Spirit Hall was formed.

Qian Daoliu, the hall’s current master, led them through the ancient, unadorned hall that radiated a gentle golden glow, suffused with a mysterious energy—faith.

In every direction except the entrance, walls bore golden plaques, each symbolizing a Titled Douluo.

When Qian Renjue glanced at one of the walls, he saw his father Qian Xunji’s plaque.

The siblings paused, their gaze lingering on the plaque until Qian Daoliu called them to follow.

At the hall’s center stood a towering, ten-meter golden statue of an angel with six wings and a great golden sword held high, pointing toward the heavens. Faint golden flames surrounded the sword, giving it a lifelike, divine presence. Other statues like this existed in different halls, but none radiated the grandeur and spirit of this one.

Qian Renxue gazed up at the Angel God statue, her heart full of determination. She would once again undergo the Angel God’s trial. This time, though, she was not alone.

She had her brother, who resembled an angel himself.

She felt stronger, more resolute, supported by the love around her.

She would become the most perfect angel and fight together with Rakshasa.

Holding Qian Renjue’s warm hand, she looked at him with serene confidence.

Qian Renjue, meanwhile, was observing the angel statue. The Divine Oracle Reverse Mark on his forehead flickered as it sensed the power within.

A system prompt echoed in his mind, and his gaze grew steely:

“Detected significant angelic divine power. Consume 30,000 points to devour and transform?”

“Detected traces of Angel God’s will. Consume 2,000 points to seize?”

“Detected minor Sea God divine power. Consume 800 points to devour and transform?”

“Detected faint traces of Sea God’s will. Consume 2,000 points to seize?”

Note: Sea God’s will is suppressing Angel God’s will.

Golden light intensified as Qian Daoliu stood beneath the angel statue.

The golden sword burst into flames, filling the hall with an indescribable sanctity.

“Xiao Xue, kneel,” Qian Daoliu commanded, his voice echoing solemnly through the hall.

Qian Renxue released Qian Renjue’s hand, walking forward with reverence. Kneeling, she assumed a sacred posture, her hands forming the symbol of the six-winged angel.

Golden light began to radiate from her body. Satisfied, Qian Daoliu lifted his hand to call down the angel’s radiance.

At that moment, a blood-red glow erupted from Qian Renjue’s forehead!
